I'm looking to expand my business into premium short term rental photography. Since this requires a portfolio of work, I'm looking for property owners who might be in need of better photography of their property for a bit of a trade.
I've done some research you might be interested in.
Professional photography means more bookings.Airbnb did a study (according to Casa Oeste) to find the impact of upgrading from smartphone photos to professional photography.
Analyzing over 100,000 listings they found this.
24% - 28% more bookings overall.
If we do some fuzzy simple math: if you do 100 bookings a year and they average you $500 in earnings per booking, 25% more bookings means $12,500 more in earnings per year.
26% higher nightly rates.
Hosts were able to increase prices without dropping occupancy because the perceived value of the space was higher.
A 40% increase in overall earnings.
Combine the previous two facts together - you'll book more and you can raise your rates more - and you start to paint a pretty picture of how this could be a win-win scenario for you.
So here's what I propose.
For a limited time, I'm looking for short term rental property owners to allow me to photograph their properties.
You'll receive a gallery of high-resolution photos and full usage rights in any short term rental software and in all your personal marketing (in perpetuity).
And if your property is more than 100 miles from my location, I would just ask for a night's stay.
Keeping in mind the average cost to photograph a property (that you won't be paying) and the potential earnings increases, this really becomes a no-brainer.
